Den Helder 29-10-13, helo-ship connection

Hi, All,
Some days ago I saw at Den Helder a Coast Guard helo (G-OBAP?) connected to a vessel: any idea what they were practising?
(excuses for the poor picture: used all my then available millimeters...)

As this helo (to my knowledge) is only used for rescue, this might be a static discharge line prior to lower the hoist.
However: its only a guess...

Are you sure it was attached and it wasn't an optical illusion?

Als dit geen opties bedrog is, dan is de radarneus van de heli wel heeeel erg dicht bij de mast van het schip. Moet wel opties bedrog zijn, lijkt mij. Maar wie weet............

volgens mij is dat ook gewoon een mast van die boot die je ziet,
als het een kabel was dan staat die kabel ook wel heel erg strak dan dus lijkt mij ook opties bedrog

Hoe heet die boot?
Misschien dat je op die naam kan googelen weet je ook wat voor een vaargeval het is.

The vessel is the Glomar scout. According to a picture on this page it has a big antenna.
