The US Army saw no more use for the EH-60A in their original role, and the helicopters were in effect demodified back to UH-60A status. Most of them were allocated to Fort Rucker (AL) where they are used in the training role. The extra antennas etc were removed, but officially they were still designated EH-60A. I cannot confirm if true or not, but I was once told that the designation EH-60A remained in place because the helicopters are still fitted with wires etc from their old role. I must however also say that more and more US Army publications only speak of UH-60A nowadays, so possibly their official designation changed by now.

When did you last confirm the code - tail number tie ups? The last note dates for these two reported to us are quite old:
85-24410/10K, last confirmed as such in may11
87-24672/72M, last confirmed as such in oct06. Code only reported in apr07.
Would be great to get more recent confirmation of these, or any other Fort Rucker, inmates!
