Not able to login / forum off-line

Post by Thijs »

Sunday 15 December 2013 we changed our domain from http://www.scramblemagazine.nl to http://www.scramble.nl (the old URL). As a result you might encounter the problem not to be able to login at the forum or website anymore (after login you will return to the index page and you are not logged in). This is caused by the "cookie" which is at your computer. The cookie refers to http://www.scramblemagazine.nl not http://www.scramble.nl.

To fix this problem, delete your cookies, after that you should be able to login as it should be.

When you encounter any diffilcuties, don't hesitate to contact webmaster@scramble.nl

Thanks for your understanding and patience.

We had some problems this morning / afternoon. This is fixed with a temporary solution. Tonight we will work on a stable solution. This can result in some down time or not able to login.

Thank you for your understanding.

Everything should be ok now. If you experience problems, first delete your cookies, this probably solves the problem.

One advantage now we're back on scramble.nl is that the seamless integration works, if you log in to the forum you also log in in the site and the other way around.

Eventually I got both Internet Explorer + Mozilla Firefox to drop their cookies.

So at least these two browsers (eventually) do allow me to log in...

Hope this narrows down any searches for fixes. It's not the browsers per se...

If you use IE, then you have to uncheck "gegevens van favourite websites behouden".

That should fix problems with IE.

For Firefox user the same applies....

Dutch link: https://support.mozilla.org/nl/kb/cooki ... erwijderen
English: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/de ... tes-stored

For those using a different language: Click the english (or even the dutch) link and change to your own language at the top of the page....

If you are confident enough you can delete the cookies for Scramble alone and keep all others....

Unfortunately i didn't know how, so I deleted al my cookies.
Not very happy, all my "inlogcodes "for 30+ websites needed to add manually again.

Thnks for the links.

It appears to me you deleted more than just your cookies then, Niels. Did you not uncheck other items in the submenu most browsers have? When deleting cookies and browser cache, login data should normally be kept AFAIK.

Wel, this didn't work for me.
AT the mainpage of the forum there is a button "delete all forum cookies for this board"
Unfortunately this didn''t solve the log-in problem. I still couldn't login at the forum. ( on iPad3, iPhone5 (both iOS7) and my Sony Vaio.

So i only checked the button "cookies en websitegegevens" in "internetinstellingen"in IE and remove the browsergeschiedenis. This worked for the VAIO but
This deleted also the usernames and passwords. For scramble, but also all other forums.

On iOS i had to do the same, with the same result. on iOS you can't make choices, its all or nothing.

I'm sorry you couldn't delete the cookies for Scramble only. Like I pointed out, my links were for Firefox, and quite clear. If you follow the instructions to the letter, it is possible....
