The terminal is being extended outwards towards the MSCP and to the NE. The
gap between the terminal and trees at the NE end which allowed a view of the
mil ramp where visiting aircraft park has now gone.
The waste ground beyond the village of Las Puntillas is still accessible,
just be careful as you leave the road surface and watch out for some big
holes. The view from here http://flic.kr/p/iKvJ2s
Views from the Cepsa garage at Carrizal remain good for arrivals and
departures from 03L/R http://flic.kr/p/izKVyh
Having started taking pictures again after a gap of many years I had to seek
out a couple of other vantage points.
Runways 03L/R were used for the whole week and the best place to head is the
village of El Burrero which is good til around lunchtime. It`s easy to find
by leaving the motorway & heading to Carrizal then it is well signposted. On
reaching the village you want to aim for the higher area which is clearly
marked on google maps as Urb. Vista Alegre. You`ll have to go off road for a
short distance following the perimeter. This is where the locals go. Landing
shots from this area will look like this http://flic.kr/p/iEqhzL & aircraft
lining up for departure http://flic.kr/p/iH9nnM
From 1300ish it`s best to head to Las Puntillas, the Cepsa garage or the
Lidl carpark which you`ll pass on the way back from El Burrero. Early
evening when the sunsets some excellent results can be had at Las Puntillas

We stayed in Maspalomas which is a 20-25 min drive from the drome. There is
an airport hotel at Vecindario which looks to have views of arriving
aircraft with sea facing rooms but probably a bit far out for photography.
Car hire remains good value.
Cheers
