New Russian army aviation base close to Baltic with 45 hcp

New Russian army aviation base in Pskov area already built up with 45 helicopters type with Ka-52 Alligator (12) Mi-28N Night Hunter Mi-8MTV5 Mi-26T and Mi-35.

The base must be the old navy VMF training air base Ostrov.

Engineering staff Connection Army Aviation Air Force and air defense (AD ) of the Western Military District ( WEST ) completed the acquisition of 12 attack helicopters Ka-52 "Alligator" .

Within two months of the new war machines were flown by military transport aircraft Il- 76 and An -22 military airfield in the Pskov region .

The first link of Ka -52 compound has already begun planning a training flight . The other nine are currently finalizing stage due diligence of all systems and mechanisms at the airport.

To date, the composition of the compound of army aviation WEST , stationed at a military airfield in the Pskov region , already includes more than 45 modern helicopters : Ka-52 "Alligator" , Mi-28N "Night Hunter" , Mi- 8 MTV -5 , Mi-26T and Mi-35 .

According my notes is 15 Aviation Brigade AA formed in Ostrov,south of Pskov. It must be a new type of army aviation support unit, organized in Russian Air Force (VVS). The unit is formed with with very short notice with 45 helicopters. Several of the helicopter is new produced, buts some is drawn from other units.

On Earth Google is 5 helicopters visible, which must be the first helicopters of the new unit.

Russia is also working with new EW (REB) helicopters which give a better signal intellgence ability (if it work properly).

In area is also a new INMARSAT ground station for intelligence of Internet. The station is fully automated, and belonged to the old FAPSI, replaced in a new organisation with the same operators.
