Mönchengladbach (EDLN/MGL) - 2014 CIV

Post by Antheii »

Visited MGL last Saturday. Nice surprise here was they were redecorating one of the RAS hangars, which meant they moved all aircraft out, resulting in 11 ATR's on the platform

Mönchengladbach - 01 March 2014
RAS platform
D-ATRS	ATR72-202	no titles, Olympic c/s, for RAS (no engines)
D-BRAS	ATR42-310	OLT Express Poland c/s, for RAS (no engines)
EC-LKK	ATR72-202	Islas Airways
EI-SLJ	ATR72-201	Air Contractors
F-GPOD	ATR72-202F	Air France (fuselage only)
I-ADCE	ATR72-212A	Air Dolomiti
I-ADLO	ATR72-212A	Air Dolomiti
N322AC	ATR72-212	American Eagle c/s, for RAS as D-ATRR. Only "322" on nose (no engines)
N429AT	ATR72-212	American Eagle c/s, for RAS as D-ARAS. Carried both registrations (fuselage only)
T7-COB	ATR72-202	Royal Air Maroc Express fcs
--	ATR42 all white, no titles, no markings (no engines)
The last ATR carried some small French texts on the fuselage (like 'emergency exit' etc), so probably ex Air France, most likely F-GVZZ. Confirmation would be appreciated though ;-)

With the Cessna maintenance on the other side, only some German registered Ce550's and the stored SP-KBM.

FWIW, D-ANKA is the former American Eagle N499AT. I've seen her at MGL 08/03/14 with full AA livery including fleet number 499 but already with registration D-ANKA.

Yesterday night (30/12/14) in the dark, 5 42's were seen on the platform in UTair colors. Three were D-BLAU, VP-BCA and VP-BLN.
The other two had their regs covered. Any ideas on those would be most welcome.

Tia,
Marcel

I have one loose end regarding a Cessna 500 I did see on MGL on 13 sept 2014. I read it off as HA-JEB. If I search for it at the net all I can find is a pic: https://www.flickr.com/photos/aeroprint ... otostream/. The last letter is not completely sharp but looks a B to me. When I look for it at LAAS (http://www.laasdata.com/corpjet/) there's only one Ce500 in the register. The HA-JET. THe last letter doesn't look like a T in the picture and the HA-JET has a different c/s. Who can help me out on this Ce500 (loose end)? Help much appreciated.

You are right with the registration. Most likely that's the former D-IMCE (c/n 500-0370) which is still in the LAAS-Database with that reg.
D-IMCE was stored for a long time in MGL with the regs SE-DEY, then D-IMCE and most probably after that HA-JEB (always same colors).

See you,

Felix

I was there today, but didn't notice an extra black stripe. Is it at the left or righthand side?
