During the month of May will be held in Norwegian air base Oerland , a set of interoperability between systems intelligence and command and control exercise, with the participation of NATO troops from 15 countries
More than 2,000 NATO troops , the armies of Germany , Belgium, Canada , United States , Estonia , France, Great Britain, Greece , Holland, Hungary , Italy, Norway , Poland , Czech Republic and Spain , as well as observers from Australia , Sweden and Finland will participate in the second fortnight of May in a joint exercise , to be held in Scandinavia , and deal with the interoperability of data surveillance , intelligence and reconnaissance ( VIR ) or inteligence , surveillance and reconnaissance ( ISR ) provided by means of obtaining different countries and agencies.
Spain will participate with about 70 soldiers of the Army, Air Force, Navy and the Staff of Defense will deploy a Boeing 707 Electronic Warfare as a platform for collection and management system SAPEM Intelligence , developed entirely in Spain by GMV in an R & D with the Directorate General of Armament and Equipment of the Ministry of Defence.
Approximately 85 different aircraft VIR undertake multiple missions ( ISR acronym) , including aircraft include fixed wing , rotary , with driver or without driver. Ships of the Norwegian Defence Forces also deployed .
