With both the Ronneby and Karup shows in June it was time for some W&R hunting in Denmark. I had been in Denmark before, a few times, but never done much of it. Only the long closed Billund museum in 1990, since then only occasional airframes at a couple of shows. That has changed. Below are a bunch that I took the past month. Since many more have been doing the same over the past month, feel free to add your own.
Egeskov museum
Not just a plane museum, but more like a family attraction park around a castle. It has a few planes, all except the Draken inside. If you want to see them you really do have to pay up....
Stauning museum
The collection at Stauning has quite a few interesting modern military exhibits, including a H.500, F-16 and Sea King, but is probably more famous for the large collection of airworthy rarities.
Airworthy KZ-II Kupé
Airworthy KZ-IIT Træner
Sole surviving KZ-IIS
KZ-III
Sole surviving KZ-IV of only two build. Still airworthy!
KZ-VII
KZ-VIII, also airworthy
Sole surviving KZ-X. This is the prototype (and has no military history). All 12 others that flew for the Danish Air Force either crashed, or were scrapped.
Airworthy Chipmunk
The sole Hollsmidt HT-1 of Danish design
Old miltary planes
Avro 504N
Hawker Dankok
And the more modern military hardware
All kinds of other mostly civil stuff
A real Corvette!!
A PL-12 Airtruk, who doesn't know this one from the Mad Max beyond Thunderdome movie...
Karup airshow
I didn't take many pictures at the show, just this dismantled F-84 on a truck.
F-84 play thingy in Karup town
A bunch of Drakens in the wild
AR-102 at Tønder
AR-105 at Roskilde
AR-002 at Jonstrup
