Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

San Juan - Luis Muñoz Marín Int'l (TJSJ/SJU) jul 2014 CIV

Post by Mollie »

During holiday spent a few hours on some days at SJU for spotting.
Used scramble airfield guide for locations.
Spot 1, named the best, not usable anymore. Security will send you away unfortunately.
Instead I used spot 2 wich is ok and security will not bother you.
Later on in the afternoon I used new spot 5 which is north of rwy 08-26 on top of car park, 11th floor, with a clear view to line up of rwy08. Also security will not bother you here.

See here for the log http://forum.scramble.nl/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=107971

Here's the result.

Taken at cargo ramp near spot 3.

Below al taken from spot 2 on finals for rwy10. Rwy 08 also ok for distance but heatwaves make them blurry.

Nice collection you got there.

Especially like the Short 360's, getting rearer and rearer.

Thanks! Got some more coming. Indeed the Sh360 and the BN-2 are still going strong there! Nice to see them flying.

Thanks!
An A320 on the taxiway for rwy 08 is about 275 mm and on rwy 08 about 200 mm.
A321 on final for runway 10 is about 325 mm. All based on a APS-C sensor.
Click on the photo's posted to link to my flicks account were you can see the exif data.
Most are cropped slightly when running them through lightroom.

I did plan to go to Isla Grande, but unfortunately it did not manage because of other "tourist" stuff.
