Croatia MiG 21 crash, pilot ok

A Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 crashed on Tuesday 5 August around 14:47 Zagreb time (13:47 UTC) in the area of ​​Donja Lomnica near Velika Gorica. More is at Airheadsfly.com.
Answers will be questioned.....

Local (summer)time in Croatia is UTC+2.

So the crash occurred around 12.47 UTC/Zulu time.

This crash happened on return after the airshow at Zadar. At the Zadar airshow was by the way already a mig 21 who had problems with the landing. After two attempts it made a safe landing. That mig seemed to have problems with the landing gear. Next week when I'm home I can check on the pictures if it was the same mig 21.

After the airshow we went to the beach... Wife and kids were ready for that. Saw those two flying over the bay. Was thinking at that moment with a cold beer in my hand, watching my kids play and seeing migs flying over... Life's good :-) Not knowing what would happen an hour later to one of them... Glad the pilot was ok, saw him talking to his friends or family earlier when he came out of his jet.

Caught the 121 on Pula in 2007...
Was this airshow for a special reason? Because it wa son a wednesday?

It was an airshow to celebrate the victory of Croatia of the Yugoslavian war.

I will check my pictures next week when I'm back home to see if it's any good.
