As the name already suggests, these are Trade Days. So intended for the trade and official press. You cannot access these days as regular visitors, unless you manage to get press accreditation or and invite as a business visitor by one of the participating parties.
Fortunately there are plenty of public days, so don't worry ;)

If you register as a trade visitor and are accepted, you will be able to enter the show without a hassle.

I agree with Numbercruncher. I have been on trade days in recent years (having registered) and never had to show id. I've never needed to wear a collar and tie either :)

In 2013 I visited the trade days as a Trade Visitor. No problems whatsoever, no business card needed when applying nor when showing up at the gates. I did wear a tie but I probably was the only one of all the people entering. (And I am used to wearing a tie so it isn't unusual for me.) ;-)
And if you are wondering: you won't be the only enthusiast on trade show days, I think there were approx. 200 of them on each of the trade days I was there. And they were very, VERY recognizable as not being press or business people...

Getting in on trade days is not a problem but viewing the runway is difficult. Last show I went there on a trade day. When the flying started I went to find a way to the flight line only to be stopped at the gate. I was told by Security Guards only Press were given access to the flight line side of the Chalets on Trade Days. So the only pics were over the tops of buildings. It was still crowded on the Trade days and less planes fly on the trade day than on the public days. If you only have time for one day at the show and are mostly interested in photographing the planes the public days might be the better choice.

It´s a matter of what your priorities are. Paris in June can be very pleasant, so a light jacket that can be slung over your shoulder, Henry Cotton for example, and then the company (or old-school) tie can be reasonably removed. Dutch-style zipper bottom khaki pants are probably not the ideal camouflage. Best to pop into Paris first, Prisunic maybe or better, Tati (big one close by metro Barbès-Rochechouart) and pick something off the rail to fit in with the locals. This together with a number of relevant business cards will ensure you can chat with the pretty chalet-girls (and boys  ) and score a good lunch with some decent plonk. Don´t eat all the twiglets in one place though. The more important your card (or the better your dress) the better quality wine you´ll be offered.
Obviously the average Dutch camera bag is a big no, go for an old brown scuffed school briefcase, one body plus zoom for flying, pocket-rocket for the static, and leave the dutch caps at home, steal a beret. The locals/press will lie down in the grass and snooze after lunch, a packet of Gauloises Caporal (visible in the top pocket - ready to offer to the "employé modèle") should get you over the rope-line to join them. Bonne chance!

Maybe there were more, but you didn't recognize the less recognisable ones? And on the other hand, there might have been press looking like enthusiasts...?
