FNF, Based upon ops so far, they'll be back in time for the double peanut butter sandwich.
Again still only 2 per day. Not that impressive for making a statement on the assumed opfor.
wonder why only two? Excessive maintenance, preventive reduction airframe hours or what?

Thanks.
My former military experience tells me that 1st they want to avoid any trouble, and 2nd they don't want to show more about their capabilities ...
2 planes per day (= between 21 to 23 hours of possible maintenance) + 2 spares...
Nothing impressive at first glance.
About "my" first point, something interesting, the highly mediated arrival :
4 ships arrived from TY and performed a low rate roll for their break, like airclub pilots. Strange for 4 highly skilled pilots (watch the video again).
They certainly want to avoid to miss their 1st premiere in Europe...

I think the schedule will only be established by OPS after the return of this morning ships, in the middle of the afternoon...

Robert,

Based on previous missions, you could expect mission departure in the (sometimes early) morning and return to Spang (based on their mission either same morning or in the afternoon).

However, locals are saying (so not confirmed!) that the raptors might depart this Friday already again.........

Good luck if you go!

What's the best spot to stay in the morning when they take off ? Back in the woods (the 15 minute walk ?)
It's Eastern wind tomorrow.
Thankx.

Polizei was there once, just to tell us not to take pictures of the facilities and not to stay to close to the fence, that's it.
Otherwise no problems at all.

If they take off RW05 (easterly winds), you could walk into the woods, like you normally do for 23 arrivals.... And then stay close to the fence before the fence makes an 90'degree turn (towards the landing lights).

You need a stair (3 step) for it, and it all depends how high or low they stay. I did it when they A-10s were there and they stayed relatively ok. Locals mostly were a bit higher.

If it's 23 go to the famous chappel for t/o pictures....

Good luck,
Oz
