Spotting Question. SW US

Post by fire28 »

Hello,

This is aimed at those who have been to CA/AZ spotting.

Does the Military fly on weekends at places such as El Centro, MCAS Yuma, Tucson/Davis-Monothan, and Luke AFB? Or is it all strictly weekday? I'm looking at making a trip that way for WTI 1-17 or 2-17's FINEX and trying to cram in as much as one can in that area.

Thanks
Tim

Hi,

ANG (Tucson) flies first weekend of each month. I understood that WTI is also often flying on saturdays, but haven't seen this confirmed. Not that if a wti is lasting 7 weeks, the first half is non-flying, and last 3 to 4 weeks is flying.

DM / Luke are not flying in weekends.

El centro has seen activity in weekends, though mostly Saturday's if any.
