First Airbus Built In US Maiden Flight Today March 21,2016

The first Airbus A 321-231 built at it's US plant at Brookley-Aeroplex Facility at Mobile Downtown Airport made it's maiden flight today was a 2 and half hour flight over Gulf Of Mexico,the aircraft F-WZMA will be going to Jet Blue Airlines.

With a French test registration? How did that happen?

Maybe it can only fly on a F- test registration before it has received a certificate of airworthiness.

But why a French? With hundreds already flying in the US, I doubt the FAA has a problem with the type and because it is built in the US, I would expect a US test registration, just like Boeing and all the others.
