One would think that there are qualified technical engineers available at Mildenhall too...........Stephan Lodewijks wrote:'RCH 964', KC-135R 60-0322 (mode-S), is currently over the Northsea experiencing technical difficulties. It is already squawking emergency 7700. Crew was talking about having enough fuel for 9,5 hours, and they were talking to Dutchmil about prefering to divert to Rota, because there is technical personnel to work on the plane, once landed safely. But this is all subject to change ofcourse, as the situation develops. I don't know how serious the problems are, but ofcourse often in these situations the aircraft lands safely.
(I don't know the exact frequency of Dutchmil it was transmitting on, but it was one of the regular ones, since only these are programmed in my scanner).
