STOL takeoff in Turbo 206.

Lookouts on the right assure airstrip below is clear of animals/people.

They also radio wind updates, as windsock is not visible from the start of the takeoff roll.

Airstrip requires a lot of left rudder over the top of the hill followed by a lot of right rudder and elevator on the downhill side.

If light, we can sometimes fly right off the top of the hill.

Anytime the load is heavier, however, the airplane will touch down again on the lower level,
as it did on this day.

De landing op diezelfde strip.

Hij moet flink draaien om op te lijnen, vanaf 1.20 komt het baantje zelf in zicht onderaan.

Raw footage. Spontaneously filmed without benefit of a tripod due to remote location.

For those who enjoy bush/mountain flying: The windsock had a busy morning, reflecting a crosswind, variable to a quartering headwind.

Airstrip info: length: @ 1,300';
elevation: 6,000' MSL;
elevation change along its length: approx. 100';
airstrip layout: S-shaped;
location: one-way canyon,
there are no go-around opportunities from short final on.
