The Oktoberfest would be a good excuse too but as there is a NATO exercise taken place these days this might be the reason

here we go...
LOG Lechfeld 07-10-2016
D-CGFG Learjet 35A GFD departed to Hohn as "Kite 57" but due to return on Monday
5361/UT AS.555AN FAF/ET00.068 (TDY)
456 Mi-24D Polish AF/56 BL (TDY)
460 Mi-24D Polish AF/56 BL (TDY)
738 Mi-24V Polish AF/56 BL (TDY)
741 Mi-24V Polish AF/56 BL (TDY)
MM81155/9-55 AB.212AM AMI/9°st (TDY)
MM81824/15-52 HH-139A AMI/15°st (TDY)
(MM7190)/51-57 AMX ACOL AMI/51°st (TDY)
(MM7186)/51-50 AMX ACOL AMI/51°st (TDY)
84+47 CH-53GS Lw/HSG64 (TDY)
84+72 CH-53GS Lw/HSG64 (TDY)

The AMX Serials were actually not read off by myself. Furthermore there is a FAE AS.332 on TDY but not seen on this Occasion. The Helicopters fly daily missions with departure between 13.00 and 14.00 and they return about 2 hours later.
The Polish, Italian and German choppers are parked in the shelter loop on the eastern side and can be seen from the eastern perimeter road. This is for the brave-hearted only as it is a Military Training range...

The 3rd AMX is MM7180/51-53
The Spanish AS322 is coded 803-09?
The 2 RAF Tornados (one ZA612 bij ADSB) already left to the UK I think./

5511/WC AS.555AN ET00.068
