New infos suggest the HL's arrived from the states and due to their parking location, the 510th ramp, may look like "new" Vipers for Aviano.

That would be odd, replacing twoseaters by singleseaters...

88-0460 seen today recoded AV with the green 555th FS's fin tip and 88-0521 still coded HL flew with the 510th FS.

I was told the Air Force had a shortage of fighter pilots than they needs more D model for training, if true those three will turned up as LF or AZ shortly.

After Lajes the destination was Holloman, don't know if it was their final destination.

Holloman seems a good possibility as final destination for the ex AV F-16D's.As the 311 FS and 314 FS both F-16 squadrons from Holloman's 54 Fighter Group are based these days in Holloman AFB. They belong to the 56 FW from Luke AFB .And operate out off Holloman for F-16 training.
A part off Luke AFB's F-16 training moved to Holloman as F-35 operations are ramping up at Luke AFB.

Hi,

Did the Greek F4's for Geilenkirchen arrived today? Or are they expected tomorrow?

Most of the time these fighters use Aviano for a tank/night stop.

Thanks!
