The P68OBS operate out of the Viterbo Aeroclub and seems to be based here now.
ICH-47F was only delivered to Viterbo the day before my visit.
An additional UH-90A, AB412 and two more CH-47Cs remained unidentified.

From outside you might be able to see them looking from the Aeroclub behind the large stored line of Chinooks (including EI800/804/823/830/831 and many more) they are behind them as well. just a little more downhill.

I know they shuffle with those Chinooks, but seeing so much different serials compared to a visit few months ago looks odd.

According what was told me, E.I.712 was only on strength with 11Gr since 26 july 2017 (I was invited to come back at it wasn't delivered yet as of 15 july (LOG to follow when pictures are returned)when I also had a visit to 11Gr). You are right it was noted in april already at Frosinone, but AFAIK that time it still had its MT iso MM registration and was not yet delivered to 11 Gr.
The Chinooks are stored more to the north than previously (at least, when I was there a couple of years ago). On google maps only 8 can be seen stored together, now it are far more.
I have to check my notebook and pictures to confirm individual line position (not with me at the moment).
Weird, as I have a shot of MM81789/EI712 taken Apr17 at Viterbo....
Correct, they are sitting in the grass now instead of on the flightline like they always used to be.
There were nine in total in April. Seems like the eleven from Frosinone returned and joined them.
