Sea Fury Flies!

A massively successful day for us all here at Weald Aviation as we saw all our hard work over the last 3 years pay off. The Navy Wings Sea Fury T.20 performed beautifully during her first flight since the landing incident at RNAS Culdrose. Next up is more test flights to ensure that everything is operating as it should be, and before long she'll be safely back in her hangar at Yeovilton.

They say a picture paints a thousand words, and by the look on one very happy pilots face, I'd say they're probably right.

Sea Fury Flies!

At just after 12:30 today, piloted by Lt.Cmdr Chris Gotke AFC, the Navy Wings Hawker Sea Fury T.20 'VX281' got airborne from North Weald for the first time in around 3 years. More images and video to follow, but for now just listen to that wonderful Bristol Centaurus XVIII roar!
