Meppen range/WTD91 2018

on 09-06-2018 there is an open day (Tag der bundeswehr) at WTD91, so far an EC135 and a CH53 are expected

GAF874 is flying near Lingen (CH-53) inbound the heliport

From a Bundeswehr press-release, in view of the emergency situation, due to the fires here:

Today 22SEP18 from 11.00lt several CH-53s will perform fire-fighting duties. Then after 15.00lt several Tornados, equipped with thermal cameras, will check the area for possible underground fires. The press-release warns the population that the Tornados will be flying very low.

Only 1 Ch53, 84+88, performed some fire-fighting duties, and 2 Tornados from Jagel, 43+25, 46+40, did some REC duties.

From Octobre 1st till 26st there should be some kind of exercise at Meppen (if it’s still on the agenda after the large fire)

For now, all exercises has been cancelled
