Libyan MiG-25PD(S) '7012' has been brought back into service at Misrata airbase, seen here armed with R-40TD and R-40RD long range air-to-air missiles.

That canopy has got to be replaced though, it is very much "coloured/weathered" now...

But even then flying this Mach 3 capable jet would be a "leap of faith",
but perhaps the phrase "Russian Roulette" would be more appropriate....

The problem with MiG-25 is the engine.

Russia have to restart new engine production, which they have decided to be to costly.

I suppose the lifetime of the engine is very short.
