There is 4 Arleigh Burke destroyers forward deployed in Rota.
They have special air defence capability for the Mediterranean area.

Further 4 are coming with the Truman and the cruiser Normandy.
They were in hurry and leaved two destroyers in CONUS.

Aircraft are assembling on air bases.
There is a lot of ASW and sigint aircraft in area performing submarine search and Sigint.
Even 2 Il-38 May, 2 A-50 and a Tu-142 are on place.
