Aviation Day 2018 - 5 January 2019

Post by Scramble Bestuur/Board »

Aviation Day 2018
5 January 2019
Skydeck Teuge Airport

The Dutch Aviation Society "Scramble" is proud to announce the 2018 edition of the Aviation Day. On this day you are able to buy, sell & trade slides, books, models and other aviation related items at our Air Fete. During the afternoon you are able to test your aviation knowledge during the National Spotters Championships (Nederlandse Spotterskampioenschappen, NSK). This makes the Aviation Day one of the largest social events within the Dutch spotting community.

Air Fete
The Air Fete is the place to be to buy or sell aviation related products. Think about books, slides, pictures, wallpapers, movies, models, etc., etc. These will be sold by individuals, aviation related companies, spotting societies and collectors from all over Europe. Lots of stalls will be there between the hours of 10.00 - 17.00.

Nationale Spotterskampioenschappen (NSK)
During the afternoon several aviation societies from the Netherlands will battle for the infamous aviation championship trophy. It takes 36 aviation related questions, from the Wright Flyer to the Joint Strike Fighter, to see who has won. Maybe a shoot-out will be needed to decide who has won the trophy, which was needed a couple of years ago. The NSK is not only fun for those of you "behind the table" but also for spectators who would like to test their aviation knowledge. Every aviation society in the Netherlands has been invited, so a fun and interesting battle is guaranteed!

The Scramble Aviation Days 2018 is going to be a wonderful event.

For the Air Fete almost 80 tables are sold with a huge variety of very interesting stands. Individuals, companies, museums and non-profit organisations are offering books, models, memorabilia, pictures, scanners, slides, aviation tours and lots more related to our great passion, aviation.

There are still several tables available for a very fair price. Contact aviation-day@scramble.nl for more info.

The Skydeck houses a couple of very interesting airframes; Czech MiG-23, German F-104 (in Dutch colours) and Sabre (in US colours), Polish An-2 (in Chinese colours) and MiG-21 and a US O-2A Skymaster.
Weather and logistics depending we will put these on display with the best photographic opportunities.
Teuge is a main general aviation airfield and on most Saturdays there is lots of activity with a variety of light aircraft, warbirds and parachute jumpers.

The best privately owned F-16AM-simulator in the Netherlands will be on display! https://www.facebook.com/pg/F16AMSimulator

Hi all,

What a great day it was! For those interested, after a fierce battle this was the end-result of the 29th Dutch Spotters Championships (NSK). Compliments to the Eindhoven Welschap Aviation Society (EWAS) for compiling this years NSK and of course to the 15 participating teams this year! Congratulations to the Aviation Group Leeuwarden (AGL) that beat our Scramble team in the final phase of the competition. Also great to see On Dutch Wings (ODW) again and the youngsters of the Woensdrecht Aviation Society who did not fear to battle the many "spotter-o-saurus'" in the other teams. :D Hopefully Maastricht will join us again in the NSK 2019.

We are also looking back to a great day at our marvelous new location Skydeck at Teuge Airport with a well filled Air Fete with 75 standholders and the impressive F-16AM simulator (https://www.facebook.com/F16AMSimulator/) Hopefully we you will be present again next year. Quite a few people took the opportunity to photograph the resident MiG-21, MiG-23 and O-2. Hopefully we can provide some addition photographic possibilities next year.

We will be assessing the possibilities to organize an evening programme again for the next event.

Everybody that attended, thanks for visiting!
