(All seen in the last two days, from outside! Listed by the markings they wear, which may not represent the actual squadron taking part. Apparently the B-1s cancelled, and there are no USAF tankers operating from Nellis.)

The VAQ ??? is 142, Gray Wolves. Are all these navy squadrons there for the whole red flag? That's insane! I thought only VAQ 134 was coming for this red flag as posted in another topics. Are these the only planes from the squadrons there or the only ones u saw?

Probably more reliable to say it was VAQ-142! It carries no markings, other than 505.
At a guess they borrowed jets from other squadrons.

There were only five LF F-35s out, and a gap in their line, and five flew, so I’d guess there is at least one more. All the other lines looked full. Also, apart from the Colombian, there were no tankers, so guess they’ll arrive today (the Dutch KDC-10 is en route).
747woody,
166946/505 is probably a Sqn transfer if it has had it’s VAQ-142 markings removed?
Thanks for starting off the list. Hopefully there will be plenty of updates from the numerous spotters that will venture out to Nellis, especially as there are a couple of air shows on nearby too!
Regards
Mark
On the other topic for Red Flag, they had said that there was only one navy squadron attending - VAQ 134. Happy to see that there are a few more there!
