The pilot Rodrigo Ibargüen was injured while Pablo Guillén, a mechanic and co-pilot,
died after the aircraft in which they were transported
collided with a tree during an air show on Sunday at the Los Volcanes Racetrack in Escuintla, Guatemala .
The incident occurred around noon during the development of the first date of the National Championship of Motoring,
where an air show was offered.
In the videos taken by people in the audience it is seen when the airplane collides against the top of a tree.
The Volunteer Firemen and several people approached a nearby road
where the aircraft rushed. Both were transferred to the Regional Hospital of Escuintla.
In the welfare center it was announced that Guillen died from the injuries he suffered in the accident.
Ibargüen, on the other hand,
was stabilized and transferred by helicopter to Guatemala City, where he will be treated.
This is the third accident suffered by Ibargüen,
since he suffered two more in 2015 and 2017.
During the last mishap, the aviator was traveling on the plane T-28 N8574 license plates.
The incident was recorded in Colonia La Libertad, zone 13.
Ibargüen is an aerobatics pilot and is founder of the G4 Team aviation school.
