2 days ago, the Belgian Air Force retired its last Westland Sea King Mk.48.
in the morning, RS05 made one last flight allong the coastline, landing at 10 coastal town handing over a memorial flag.
in the afternoon, one last formationflight was flown, in formation with an NH90-NFH, Allouette III, German Seaking Mk.41 (89+70) and a norwegial Sea King Mk.43B (066). arriving back at Koksijde, the formation split up and RS05 made one last SAR demo.
at 17.00, the Sea King touched down at Koksijde for the last time, ending its 43 year carreer in the BAF.
