On 10.12. the first H145M (LUH SAR - Leichter Unterstützungshubschrauber Search and Rescue) in the shape 77+01, ex D-HCBQ (civil test serial) arrived for THRgt 30 to replace the venerable UH-1D, three days earlier than planned.
Seven LUH SAR will replace the last Hueys after more than 50 years in German service and will operate at the SAR Kommandos at Nörvenich (one heli), Holzdorf (one heli) and Niederstetten (one heli plus one spare). The three other helicopters will remain for SAR training, flying traning and maintenance. The planned serials will be in the range 77+01 to 77+07.
