She was at FL600 at some point over the North Sea.
Back in my 'MIL' days they used to file FL660 before disappearing VFR...
Correct Ben. As it was with the U2's operating out of Mildenhall they most of the time entered Dutch Airspace at MC6 climbing 50000ft+ for 66000ft. Not squawking so could only be seen with primary radar going east. Later on with the TR1's out of Alconbury they remained squawking till east of Bruggen Tacan (BGG) than switched off transponder going further southeast.
That was in my Mil days.
A nice Dutch Mil reunion on this subject! I remember them as ‘silent flights’ they just listened out on common dm upper Freqs and guard 243.0. There has been a serious conflict once between an u2 and a Concorde flying the same flight level ...VN

I have been working on the other side of the door at that time and for us it was known as "Olympic Torch" for the U2's and for the TR1's as "Creek Spectre". Later I switched to your trade of work. PR
