Scramble: F-16's KLu intercept ambulance

February 7, 2020

LEEUWARDEN - Two F-16s from Leeuwarden Air Base took off around 12.30 on Friday (February 7)
to intercept a Cessna Citation Bravo ambulance aircraft above Flevoland.

The jet that was en route from Prague to Edinburgh in Scotland did
not make radio contact with air traffic control for a moment.

After a few minutes,
the communication of the Cessna of Tyrolean Air Ambulance
with traffic control was restored,
fter which the F-16s switched to a training flight.
