In the early 90s, the Brazilian Air Force conjectured the installation of a flight refueling probe in Xavante, in order to expand its autonomy. With the cancellation of the program, the FAB 4600, the aircraft used as a prototype, ended up being the only Xavante of the FAB to receive such a device.
