Departures Komaki Airshow 2019; Shinmaywa, Phantom and P-1

Post by Redskin301 »

This video was made during the departures wave of the Komaki Airshow in 2019. It is customary in
Japan that after the show many aircraft go home immediately. This usually produces beautiful photos,
because the shows themselves are usually small-scale. In one day, all the planes can be captured both
in the show and during departure. Here in this video an RF-4E Phantom II of the JASDF (Japan Self Air
Defenses Force), a Shinmaywa US-2 of the JMSDF (Japan Maritime Self Defense Force) and a Kawasaki
P-1 of the JMSDF are shown at their departure. The light was already soft late in the afternoon which
makes it ideal for a nice video setting.

...considering its' size,
that Shinmaywa US-2 did not take very long to get airborne :)

For taking off from water you need a lot of power. It's not a smooth landing strip....
