Historical Military Seaplane in Flight over the Wonderful Lake of Como in 4K at 50 fps Ultra High Quality Videos. The Seaplane is a Cessna 305C (also know as L-19 or O-1) Bird Dog of Aeroclub di Como during his display at Varenna Airshow 2019.
The Aeroclub of Como has two historical Cessna 305C L-19 BirdDog in seaplane version: the I-EIAX and the I-EIAQ both were built in 1961.
The Cessna L-19 BirdDog (C 305C) is a historical military liaison and observation aircraft originally developed for the United States Army (after Army Air Forces). The O-1 Bird Dog was used by the armed forces of many other countries included the light aviation wings for the Italian Army (Esercito Italiano). Many Cessna 305 Bird Dog was donated by Italian Army to Aeroclub d'Italia after their military retirement and many are still in use as gliders towing airplanes.
The Cessna L-19 Bird Dog is now considered an historical aircraft and offers the chance to fly in a typical cabin of the 40's, unusually spacious with exceptional visibility as it was designed as an aircraft for observation.
It provides high performance from its O-470 engine that gives out 213 HP at 2600 RPM.
The aircraft was certified since the beginning as a landplane, floatplane and skiplane.
