Nörvenich 2021

Post by PH-AVR »

Afternoon visit to Nörvenich Air Base to catch the afternoon waves. Nice to catch the Sword of Boelcke from the other side plus from above. Also pleased with visiting Tornado and a double seater Eurofighter.
Cheers

I was in the neighborhood of Nörvenich and caught 4 returning Eufi’s in the 35 minutes I was there incl. the Sword of Boelcke. Perfect blue skies!

One of them obviously had a problem with its refuelling probe (see on photo) en route to the Baltic so they landed at Nörvernich.

Nice catch Richard, do they follow normal arrival pattern like jets? Are the Eurofighters flying these days or is this on hold after the floodings?
cheers

Two CH-53’s were carrying non-stop large bags of stones & sand from a stone quarry to Erftstadt that was hard hit by last week’s flooding. Great that the German Army has these large helicopters in their inventory. Hoping for a quick recovery for all the people affected!

@PH-AVR

Something that happened already some years ago:

All German CH-53GA and GS are with HSG64 (Hubschraubergeschader 64) at Laupheim and Holzdorf of the German Air Force!! No more Heer or German Army!
