After a 2 hour flight from the Spanish airport Getafe (near Madrid), today the 4th Airbus A330 MRTT has been delivered to Eindhoven Air Base.
The new owner is the Consortium "NATO Support and Procurement Agency" and the "Multinational Multirole Tanker Transport Unit" (MMU). The Airbus A330 MRTT aircraft, also known as the KC-30M, is registered in the Royal Netherlands Air Force. MRTT stands for "Multi-Role-Tanker-Transport" which indicates the dual role for the aircraft, which is both a tanker role and a transport role. A total of nine aircraft were ordered and will be stationed at Eindhoven Air Base in the Netherlands and the German airport Cologne-Bonn.
