Planned support for 12.4. is an Austrian C-130K of the Lufttransportstaffel from Linz.
The detachment of six (plus one spare) Austrian Eurofighter‘s should commence on 22.4. They will stay for two weeks and some more C-130K visits during the period are planned. The fighters will go to the North Sea Ranges to train the pilots in shooting their canons.
Small exercise „Timber Express 2021“ will be organised for June with the participants are one MFG 3 P-3C, one MFG 5 Sea Lynx, one TLwG 74 Eurofighter, the WTD 61 UH-1D and one WTD 61 Tornado.
It is expected that one mission a day is flown, but also some work on the ground will happen to test the data connections between all types.
Noted flying in the morning on 3.6. were the following TLwG 51 Tornados:
IDS 44+69, 45+13 and 45+39
ECR: 46+24, 46+56 and 46+57
Taking off after a night stop was Eurofighter GT 30+35 of TLwG 73.
Performing their official goodbye around 8.40h local were C-160D 50+40 („Retro Brummel“ special colour) and 50+66 (photo ship) of LTG 63. They did one low flypast from the East and then a touch and go each from the West. Afterwards the crews of two fire engines saluted 50+40 with their water canons on another low flypast from the East.
Flying at Jagel will be few and far between from 23.6. on as three TLwG 51 Tornados will deploy to Creech AFB on 22.6. and another five will go to Vidsel a day earlier on 21.6. for wepaons delivery traning and tests.
In the last years at some fighter stations in Germany there was a summer leave of two or three weeks and this could easily happen from June 25th, after the last Timber Express 2021 participants left the base. Time will tell.
Corrected!

The five Tornados left for Sweden as planned on 21.6., but the three for Creech AFB („Dynamic Duo 21“) were delayed for one day and left with a USAF KC-10A on 23.6.
