Not sure if there will be any foreign participants. Normally these would have been announced by now.

It’s either way a toned down memorial as only limited numbers of the public will be allowed. All the roads towards they Ginkelse Hei will be closed off for cars.

What we hear from the communications department at Eindhoven Airbase is that the situation is still very fluid at present. The "usual suspects" were invited (UK, US, Germany, Italy, Poland), but due to the situation in Afghanistan nothing is confirmed (yet). And that is not because of the current situation over there in Kabul, but more because of the high number of hours and missions flown over the last month or so. So, with Falcon Leap due to start next week, we will have to wait to see what turns up... reminds me of the "good old days"...

If the Afghanistan story doesn’t spoil the party, participation is said to be consisting of three Dyess C130’s, two US Army helicopters (Chinook or Blackhawk) and one Czech Mi17. Time will tell…

I only read that the non-Dutch aircraft are present from September 6 till 17. So, can anyone confirm that only the Netherlands will participate with Market Garden on the 18th?

The 'Defensiekrant' from this week reports:
"Er komen vliegtuigen uit de Verenigde Staten, Italië, Polen en Duitsland naar Nederland. De Verenigde Staten en Tsjechië nemen ook helikopters mee. Daarnaast zijn er kleine transportvliegtuigen uit verschillende landen."

So, military aircraft from USA, Italy, Poland, Germany and most probably the Netherlands. Choppers from USA and Czech Republic. Expect civil participants with smaller aircraft, like German M28 Skytruck and Austrian Short Skyvan (based on earlier editions).

Dates and locations will not be made public because of covid measures.

Thanks Roberto.

Apparently a publication on defensie.nl is not considered as being public ;-)

ADSBX shows Dyess C-130J-30 15-5826 (Reach 185) over the UK. 11-5748 pretty much in trail.

Most likely a fuel stop before continuing to Eindhoven.

Seems like FALCON LEAP and the Market Garden memorial are not integrated this year. There is no mentioning in the list of any jumps on the 18th when the memorial is being held.
