BTZ Friday 03rd September,

The latest Thai airport located in what can be described as Nakhon Nowhere, in the hills west of Narathiwat in the deep south is due to open officially on the 31st December this year.

However what are likely to be the first fixed-wing visitors landed here today.

These were,

35184 Beech 350i Royal Thai Police RTP184 from and to VTBD
36964 DHC-6-400 Royal Thai Police RTP964 from and to VTSS

This facility has yet to be allocated a ICAO location indicator, or a IATA code.* Edit, ICAO location indicator VTSY has been allocated to here.

This is not likely to be the busiest airport in Thailand anytime soon, or on the itinerary for anyone's spotting trips.
