One of the most popular participants in the SAR meet 2021, was the Norwegian Air Force AW101 SAR helicopter. The 330 Skvadron is a helicopter unit of the Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF) and is Norway's military search and rescue service. The squadron operates the Westland Sea King helicopter and since 2020 also the AW101 helicopter and is based at six airbases along the Norwegian coast. Headquartered at Sola Air Station, the squadron has detachments at Rygge, Florø, Ørland, Bodø and Banak. The unit's primary duty is search and rescue (SAR), with secondary duties consisting of air ambulance and disaster relief. It was the first time that the Norwegians participated with the AW101 to the SAR Meet which was this year organized by the Belgians at Koksijde Air Base.
