312 Squadron Four Ship F-16s, Full Afterburner Take-Off at Volkel Air Base

Post by Redskin301 »

At the beginning of the year Volkel Air Base had a few weeks of night flying operations. The aircraft would depart just after sunset for the first wave of the day. That means that aircraft were departing around 17:00LT in these winter weeks. In this video a four ship of F-16s is departing. The light is already disappearing and therefore the afterburners of the planes are very bright. The flight of these four F-16s were Burst 1 to 3 and Bonzo 1. On film the departures are quite spectacular due to the long flames of the after burners. Just sit down and enjoy this take off wave at Volkel. Don’t forget to pop up the volume!!!
