Initial reports suggest it came under fire from ground forces

On 29 Mar 22, a Pakistani PUMA detailed on an ISR Msn (Int, Surv & Recce Msn / detailed by Force HQ from Southern Sector to Central Sector) has crashed. It was accompanied by an armed Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter; as per details shared by Ukrainian pilots, PUMA was fired upon from the ground by an Armed group; Aircraft caught fire in the air and crashed. A search and rescue mission has been initiated by FHQ. Details of the crew are as follows:-
