French carrier Charles de Gaulle is anchored in Piraeus, near Athens with at least 12 Rafales and a Hawkeye on board.

Don’t know the exact location or ots departure day. But my guess is it will leave before monday as those Rafales should participate in exercise Iniochos from Monday.

Additional info is always welcome.

Best regards Rob

It shouldn’t be in port yet. Tomorrow some Rafales will fly over Athens in the annual parade over the capital.
24 Rafales, 2 Hawkeyes and some helos on board (NH-90, AS365), but of course a part of them below deck.

I think this topic is about port visits in the Netherlands.

According to various media feeds the ship should be docked in the port. But some video on youtube show the ship in the Phaleton Bay.

I thought the fly by over Athens is planned for next week, April 1st.

The April 1st fly-over is for Iniochos. The fly-over today is every year, for Armed Forces day or something like that

Ok I guess they will leave the bay today in that case. Can’t imagine they will fly from the carrier while anchored in the bay.

The Admiral Kuznetsov is currently in the 35th shipyard in Murmansk. Repairs are expected to cost 300 to 350 million rubles.

The Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier of project 11435 will complete the overhaul and upgrade in 2023 and will rejoin the Navy in the end of the year, Vice President of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) Vladimir Korolev told TASS at the Navy salon.
