In this video the so called Helocasting is shown. During a Helocasting soldiers will jump from the ramp of a helicopter in the water. This time the Dutch forces used the CH-47F Chinook of the 298 Squadron from Gilze-Rijen Air Base. The soldiers involved are of the KCT (Korps Commandotroepen) of the Royal Netherlands Army. These unit are the Dutch Special Forces, and are trained to execute the most difficult kinds of missions. During the Helocast the Chinook will approach the dropping area and will fly slowly on a very low height over the water (max 2 meter). The soldiers of the KCT will jump one by one in the water. During the last run also a boat was dropped from the helicopter. It looks quite spectacular as the helicopter is splashing up a lot of water during this action. Enjoy this video and see how the Dutch Special Forces execute these kinds of drop offs!!!
