It is planned that 3./FBS BMVg which operates three AS.532UL-2 (82+01 to 82+03) will disband on 30.06.2022 and became part of 2.Staffel. The helicopters will relocate to BER (Berlin-Schönefeld) around 2025 providing the important short range VIP transport for the German Government. Due to the traffic situation in Berlin city the Cougars are mainly tasked with bringing politicians and high-ranking officers to and from BER.
Only one AS.532, 82+01, is still in the old colours and this will change at Airbus Helicopters Kassel in the near future.
