Looks like TUI is chartering the Plus Ultra 346 today
EC-NFQ now exd on;
OR151 arr 1430
OR1531 dep 1610
OR1532 arr 2215
Does anyone know the last time a A340-600 came to Amsterdam?
Last once I’ve logged at AMS are;
9H-PGS 28jun19
9H-EAL 26mrt21
Thanks!
I did try to check it years ago (2015) and then I came to the realisation the A340-600 (up to that point) only operated to AMS a handfull of times; 2 Virgin Atlanic, 2 Iberia and 1 South African Airways diversions.
When a Virgin diverted in 2005; the airline had to fly a 747-400 to AMS with a suitable tow-bar on board since AMS didn't have one.
(the 747 also repatriated the passengers)
In december 2015/january 2016, Etihad flew the A346 on several flights and since then a few charters including today.
So in total; only a few dozen A346 flights to Amsterdam I think...
Sorry for going off-topic.
EDIT: I see the Airhub A340-300 9H-AHUB is on it's way to AMS from PBM, landing at 08:15 tomorrow.
If the Plus Ultra A346 is still at Amsterdam, that would be the first time 2 A340's will be at AMS since a lóng time!
If I remember correctly...
