A long way from home saw the arrival in Christchurch on October 15th of Lockheed C-130J Hercules, MM62191, of the Italian AF. Usually here for about six weeks, the Italians have been regular visitors to Christchurch for many years supporting their Antarctic base. Not always with their own aircraft though. There was a period when they chartered a Safair C-130 from South Africa.
