home page forum items gone?

Is it just with me, or have the "forum-headlines" disappeared from the homepage? Seems to have happended yesterday.

Same here, no forum headlines anymore on the homepage.

Indeed something must have happened yesterday. For about half an hour yesterdayevening the scramble homepage returned a white page and the forum returned an sql-error.

Onze IT-ers zijn meer bezig met de technische staat van de site dan met de inhoud van het forum, concludeer ik daaruit. Prima!

I would like to report a technical issue. The very usefull "forum-headlines" disappeared from the homepage. Seems to have happended yesterday and continues till now.

Currently we have an issue with the response speed of the Scramble website. This might be caused by the message board.

That's why the link 'forum headlines' on the homepage has been removed. Of course you can still access the message board via community in the menu.

This. Requests seem to timeout 'randomly'. Refresh of the page works sometimes in that situation.
Noticed on opening the homepage, searching the database and the messageboard.

This has been going on for a +/- week or so. Most of the time an hour later it works again.

Unfortunately, after performing a technical upgrade today to resolve the performance issue, we had to fall back this afternoon.
This action has now been completed and the website should work normally again.

Individually, there may still be some delay because ofthe local caches. This will be resolved by updating/refreshing.

Some people still encounter some performance issues with the website. There is an indication that the particle "Now on our message board" on the main page has something to do with it.

Therefore we wil remove this particle to see if this helps. Of course you can still access the message board via community in the menu and choose for active topics.

How annoying this must be for all of you at Scramble (and for all of us at home). Yes, removing the offending section from the front page does seem to help. The homepage (or any other page on the MB for that matter) does not seem to load very quickly, but at least they load... Thanks for the effort!
