80 Years 322 22 September

According to the Belgian Air Forces F-16 demonstration team, they will be present on the 22nd of September at Leeuwarden for 80 years 322, I wonder if more teams are to attend as well as international countries, but this may be a sign. Anyone with a bit more information?

In the latest edition of the Defensiekrant some more information is given.

"Op 22 september aanstaande worden er in het hoge noorden zo’n achthonderd reünisten verwacht. Zij worden met een dagvullend programma onder meer getrakteerd op een vliegshow met zowel binnenlandse als buitenlandse gasten."

"Schols (commandant 322 sqn) licht graag een tipje van de sluier op van wat er op 22 september gaat gebeuren. Tijdens de static show zal materieel uit heden en verleden te zien zijn. Naast toestellen van gasteenheden zullen de Spitfire, de Gloster Meteor, de Hawker Hunter, de F-16 en natuurlijk de F-35 acte de présance geven. Al die machines geven een vrij compleet beeld (of de F-104 Starfighter komt is nog onzeker, red.) waar we vandaan komen en waar we momenteel staan”, aldus Schols. “Machtig is dat de meeste van die oude toestellen nog vliegen en dat op 22 september ook gaan doen. Ik verheug me erop."

In short: flying programme and static (on base, for invited only) with participation of foreign visitors on the 22st of september.

Do we already know more about participations and the statics?

No, there should be a couple F35 countries on static.. further a globster meteor, f104 and spitfires, only the spitfires will arrive flying, there should be F16s from Volkel and 1-2 which are still at 322 leerdock on static, further we have Vrieske but its not the biggest event ever, the F104 comes from volkel on trailer with 322 stickers by the way

F-104 will be the D-8060 (former Teuge aircraft), it is allready at Leeuwarden and will be present at the anniversaries of 306/322&323 squadron the comming months, each time with other sqn sticker on the tail if my info is correct
Also a USAF F-35 pilot will do a demo on the 21 & 22, also Vrieske will fly on both days (21e is a Career orientation day of the air force)

If there's a F35 demo it should be Beo, tho she currently is in Europe so it isnt impossible, we'll just have to see what it brings

FA-102 aan het begin van de middag geland, een zeer grijze demobak

PC-7 L-02 (met de speciale 30 jaar staart) zou als het goed is vanochtend ook op Leeuwarden geland moeten zijn.

Waarschijnlijk voor de orientatie dag voor nieuw personeel, hij ging naar zuid en vroeg na de landing al naar zijn vluchtplan voor de terug reis vanmiddag

30 jaar is alweer wat jaartjes geleden, EMVO viert binnenkort het 35-jarig bestaan en zo staat het ook op de staart.
