William Tell 2023

Air and ground crews from across the Air Force fighter enterprise will gather at the Air Dominance Center in Savannah, Georgia from Sept. 11-15 to test their skills at the 2023 William Tell Air-to-Air Weapons meet, the first of its kind in nearly two decades.

F-15E Strike Eagles from the 4th Fighter Wing, Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C., and 366th Fighter Wing, Mountain Home AFB, Idaho
F-22 Raptors from the 1st Fighter Wing, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va.
F-35 Lightning IIs from the 388th Fighter Wing, Hill AFB, Utah
Command and Control from the 552 Air Control Wing, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla.

Pacific Air Forces:

F-22 Raptors from the 3rd Wing, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, and the 154th Fighter Wing, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI
F-35 Lightning IIs from the 354th Fighter Wing, Eielson AFB, Alaska
Command and Control from the 3rd Wing, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, and the 18th Wing, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan

Soesterberg AB's 32nd TFS participated in the 1984 edition. I still have warm memories of the work-up period toward the exercise. Among many, a fresh set of several Alconbury based 527TFTAS F-5Es every week! :worship:
During the exercise itself (hear say), one of the 32nd pilots (JC) managed to hit the cable between an F-4 Phantom and the Dart she was carrying which caused the Dart to separate from the Phantom. During another sortie, he apparently hit the sensor on the Dart that was supposed to indicate whether the target was hit or not........... :respect:

Great report thank you very much, one small note i think that the SJ's and MO's are F15E's and not F15C's

08-4170 is one additional FF, but there is also one more to be identified.
18-5344 is an additional VT. I have not managed to confirm is 5339 is here I suspect not.
