After a search for 3 years I finally found the spot from where the Elliniki Aeroporia Stratou is operating at Kos.
They fly almost a daily mission, even in the weekends. After an island tour they are back in about 80 minutes.
Their mission is to watch out for refugees and wild fires.
Around 2 till 3 helicopters are based at the army complex from 80 AΔTE, which is located close to Kos city. Most of the time they are Hueys but als Chinooks were seen.
The helicopters are simple to see and read by bare eye at 36°52'32.76"N 27°16'39.93"O
Noted on the 28th of July:
EΣ-632 UH-1H EAS 2 TEAS
EΣ-636 UH-1H EAS 2 TEAS
Happy Spotting at Kos!

On google maps three heli landing spots are visible with one UH-1H standing on the mid one. The spots are in a small fenced area with some buildings nearby.
Thanks for posting this report
I was on holiday in Kos early July and I saw a UH-1 fly over our hotel.
Nothing on adsb, didn’t expect to see any mil movements
Looking at GE the complex is out in the wilderness
Thanks for confirming the UH-1’s

Windshield covered with tarp and cabin with birdshit.
No flying activities heared the days around.
Except for a unidentified Coast Guard Dauphin passing twice.
Info:
The Νέο Νεκροταφείο Κω, grave yard next to the 80 AΔTE helipads gives a good view on all three helipads.

Samos is about 75 miles north of Kos. The FRONTEX based CG Dauphin leaves there c .0630hrs each morning and returns at 0900hrs. Could this have been the one you saw?
